Classic Single Malt (Farewell Bayswater Release)
To celebrate our history with Bayswater and Melbourne’s Outer East, and in the lead up to our relocation to Kensington in 2022 - We have created a limited amount of commemorative bottles titled “Farewell Bayswater 1999-2022”
These will be the final bottlings of Bakery Hill Whisky, created, distilled and matured completely from our original Bayswater North distillery on the famous Gatwick Rd. Each bottle also comes with a specially penned note of gratitude from founder and head distiller David Baker, who started it all in 1999.
Our flagship Classic Single Malt is the whisky that David Baker started distilling over 20 years ago to produce. Victoria’s very own “Speyside” style expression with notes of spiced apple, nutmeg, honey and loads of rich malty sweetness.
If you enjoy a Macallan, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet or Glenfarclas, you will simply adore the Bakery Hill Classic Single Malt.
Australian malted barley, milled, brewed and double distilled onsite at our Melbourne distillery - then matured for up to 8 years in American Oak Ex-Bourbon barrels from Jack Daniels in Tennessee.
Single barrel maturation to ensure you get every ounce of flavour without blending.
The Classic nose and flavour is the DNA that runs through our entire range of whiskies. So there is no better whisky to get to the essence of the Bakery Hill experience.
Colour
Light translucent gold.
Nose
A complex sweet multi layering of green apples, spiced honey with just a hint of cider.
Palate
The flavour ramps up kaleidoscopically from nutmeg through spiced honey to a firm cereal with a malty richness layered on as a finale.
Finish
Mouth filling, smooth and lingering, leaving a satisfying warmth. Inspection of the glass reveal amazingly luscious legs of this superb malt whisky.
