Prospectors Drop Batch 1 is a unique Double Wood Cask Strength release with a difference. We identified some American Oak Ex-bourbon casks with no charring. This is extremely rare.

Charring provides a barrier between the spirit and wood, and effectively reduces the amount of wood contact impacting the flavour profile. Uncharred American Oak therefore has no such barrier, so you are getting oodles of that pure, sweet, vanilla and caramel notes from the oak.

A perfect way to enjoy this whisky will be alongside our traditional Bakery Hill Double Wood, so you can really taste the differences in oak on display. This is dangerously easy drinking at cask strength neat or with the addition of two drops of water.
