Be part of Bakery Hill History with the inaugural Prospectors Barrel Syndicate.

A rare opportunity for our most loyal supporters to invest directly in a single, small-format barrel and follow its transformation from new make spirit to fully matured whisky.

This one off whisky barrel is strictly limited to 50 bottles only. Each bottle represents a stake in a 30-litre private cask, expected to reach maturation in around 2 years.

The Experience

Owning a stake in Prospectors Cask No.1 is about far more than the whisky—it's about being hands-on at every stage of its creation.

Stakeholders will be invited to Bakery Hill Distillery to:

  • Help fill the barrel, tasting the spirit as it flows in
  • Take home a 50ml bottle of the new make spirit (or have it sent if you can't attend)
  • Sign the oak cask, or have your name permanently etched by the distillery team

After approximately two years, you'll return to the distillery to:

  • Decant, bottle, and label your own share
  • Enjoy a celebratory dram of the finished whisky—your liquid gold, realised

If you are unable to attend the distillery we will happily bottle/label and post out your allocation

With thanks to our expression of interest Prospectors - you have selected Bakery Hill Classic Unpeated New Make spirit to flow into a rare barrel style never before used in our 25 year history. The cask is a hybrid of American and European Oak, previously seasoned with both Bourbon and Spanish Fortified Wine. The unique combination promises depth, richness and evolving character- and we aniticipate - an exceptional whisky to follow. Upon maturation, there may be an opportunity for Prospectors to indicate a desired bottling strength. This will depend on angels share and ensuring 50 bottles at least will be drawn from the cask
