In this years selection we have a very special preview of a future 2026 release, as well as a progress update on a barrel with a previous fill we have never previously worked with

Sample 1

Barrel #400 Blunderbuss 2026 - 50ml - Natural cask strength approx 64% abv

This 100L barrel has had quite a journey since it arrived at Bakery Hill from Seppeltsfield Barossa Valley. 

This ex Australian Sherry (Apera) cask was initially used for the maturation of our Eldorado (1st edition) sherry matured whisky. It was then transported to Hop Nation brewery in Footscray where it formed part of the barrels to mature their epic Imperial Stout beer - The Kalash (2024 edition). 

It has now come back home, and been refilled (on 3 June 2024) with semi mature (approx. 4 years old) classic Bakery Hill spirit in what will be the 2026 (4^th edition) of Blunderbuss. 

Sample 2

Barrel #369 Rye Barrel Finish - 50ml - natural cask strength 68.2% abv

One of two 100L American Oak casks which we acquired which had previously held George Washington Rye whisky from The Journeyman distillery in Pennsylvania USA.

This cask was filled with our unpeated new make spirit in September 2021. 

We anticipate a release around 2026 or 2027 for this never before released (from Bakery Hill) whisky type.
